READY FOR A BRAIN FREEZE?
We all know 7/11, and we all know Slurpees. If you've had a Slurpee, you know what a brain freeze feels like. If you haven't, the following TVCs (if someone chooses to produce it) will help you understand the experience
1. “Flip off”
15 secs
Scene opens on two people, Jake and Mike, on their bikes revving their engines next to each other in a challenge.
Jake revs his engine first. Mike revs his engine and looks back at him.
Jake arrogantly kicks the side pedal and returns Mike's stare.
They both glance at the signal; it shows two seconds remaining.
Jake, with a cocky grin, takes a sip of his Slurpee.
The signal turns green. Mike speeds away as Jake remains frozen, his cocky expression intact.
SUPER: Ready for a brain freeze?
Narration: Get your Slurpee at the nearest 7/11
2. “ATM”
15 secs
Open on a young man, Mario, inserting his ATM card into the machine on a busy road.
People are continuously walking by.
He taps the ‘Cash withdrawal’ option on the screen.
He then enters “200$” and clicks 'enter'.
When the screen reads ‘Dispensing cash’, excited, he takes a huge sip of his Slurpee. The cash gets dispensed but we see someone else slip in, grab the cash and leave.
The camera pans and we see a frozen man with his hand near the cash dispensing slot.
SUPER: Ready for a brain freeze?
Narration: Get your Slurpee at the closest 7/11.
3. “Prank”
15 secs
Open on a group of 4 guys, eating a burger in a restaurant with one empty chair beside them.
John walks in with a Slurpee in his hand and waves a big hi to his group of friends.
He then takes a sip of his Slurpee and is about to take a seat.
His friend sitting next to him drags the chair from behind. We see all his friends laughing.
The camera pans and we see a frozen person seated in a half-chair position with no chair but a Slurpee in his mouth.
SUPER: Ready for a brain freeze?
Narration: Get your Slurpee at the closest 7/11.
